About Elle:

As a trained Social Worker, LaTrice "Elle" Davis has always had an affinity towards people; inspiring them and helping them to see the best in their situations, both personally and professionally. This optimistic attitude was put to the test but proved, to be no different for Elle when she unexpectedly became a widow in 2014, shattering her world as she knew it. Through that experience, Elle learned that every obstacle can be turned into an opportunity (#obstacle2opportunity) to live a greater, fuller life, filled with purpose.

Elle's contribution to Wife Life 101 is unique in that she is still currently widowed and writes from a place of holding on to the gratitude in marriage in spite of the challenges that arise. Elle continues to miss her husband while looking forward to getting remarried one day.

Elle gives back to her community through volunteerism and serving on boards. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Elle lives on the south side of Chicago with her school-age daughter, Simone.
